MORMUGAO: Resumed election process for Mormugao Civic polls receives lukewarm response with Dy Collector Sachin Desai receiving three nominations from two candidates on day 1.
Speaking to media, Dy Collector Sachin Desai said that there will be strict measures adopted to ensure that there is no spread of covid with candidates and people to be allowed with compulsory masks. Desai also said that an FIR would be filed for violation of collectors order in case any aspirant candidate having covid applies for nominations without informing of Covid status
Candidates Aquef Sayad ( ward no 14 ) and Pushpa Yadav ( Ward no 10 ) filed nominations on Wednesday, Day 1 of filing of nomination.
QUEPEM: Meanwhile, Election process resumes for Quepem municipal elections. Three nominations filled on the first day of nominations Ex-chairperson Alexandrina Caetaninha filled nomination from ward no XI (general), another familiar name ex-vice chairperson Paulo Fernandes filed nomination from ward XII (ST) and and Prajyot Prahlad Prabhudesai from Ward no II (general).
