Panaji: SV’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa, and Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science, Margao, emerged victorious against their respective opponents in Goa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Men Championship 2024-25.
In the first match, SV’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies defeated Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, Margao, by a convincing margin of 46 runs. After winning the toss, SV’s Sridora Caculo College elected to bat first, posting a total of 165/8 in 20 overs. Sai Madgaonkar was the standout performer with a score of 45(35), while Sabaji Dalvi contributed 32(23). In response, Don Bosco College of Engineering managed only 119/9 in 20 overs, with Gauresh Dhavlikar scoring 48(40).
The second match saw Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts & Science, Margao, triumph over Goa College of Music, Altinho, by five wickets. Goa College of Music batted first, setting a target of 98/9 in 20 overs, with Prajyot Parsekar scoring 22(28). Parvatibai Chowgule College successfully chased the target, reaching 100/5 in just 14.1 overs. Afridi scored 35(35), and Sanat Raikar contributed 17(8) while also taking two wickets.
Scheduled matches for March 12, 2025, include Goa College of Pharmacy vs. P.G. Goa University, Taleigao, at 9:00 a.m. and Goa Dental College, Bambolim, vs. Rosary College, Navelim, at 2:00 p.m.
