VASCO: In a new political development, the spokesperson of the All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) Goa unit and former TMC candidate from Mormugao, Jayesh Shetgaonkar, has resigned from the primary membership of the party.
Shetgaonkar cited a lack of transparency in party decisions at the state level as the reason behind his resignation. He expressed disappointment over what he described as the absence of clarity and coordination within the local TMC leadership in Goa.
Shetgaonkar, who had contested the 2022 Assembly elections from Mormugao on a TMC ticket, said he would continue to remain active in public life and work for the people of his constituency, but distanced himself from the party’s internal functioning.
