MOPA: Clarifying that toll will be mandatory for all on the Mopa link road, CM Pramod Sawant urged Union Minister Nitin Gadkari to consider giving concession toll passes to taxi operators and locals.
He also assured fast tracking of compensation to those whose land has been used for the project and who have not yet received their compensation.
Admitting that some may not have received compensation for their land which has been used for the Mopa Link Road project, Sawant assured to fast track the compensation.
He stated that Mopa airport will be become a Cargo hub which will boost the economy of Goa.
The chief minister reiterated that Dabolim airport is equally important for Goan and the State government would not allow it to be shut down for civilian flight operations.
“An amount of Rs 1,500 crore has been sanctioned for the construction of a Ring Road at Dabolim,” said Sawant.
“We plan to connect Manohar International Airport to Pernem Railway Station and improve rail connectivity across the state to ensure ease of travel for everyone,” HE ADDED
