Bardez: Anjuna Police Station has registered Crime No. 11/2026 under Sections 118(2), 351(3) and 352 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, in connection with an alleged assault case reported from Arpora.
The offence was registered on 19/02/2026 at 11:43 p.m. based on a complaint filed by Mr. Gurudas S/o Jayendrath Divkar (36), a businessman and resident of Sankwadi, Arpora, Bardez.
According to the complaint, on 19/02/2026 at around 10:20 a.m., near La Sunila Resort at Arpora, the accused, identified as Amit N/o Deepak Kale (30), a private service employee from Jagat Mandir Road, New Umarsara, Yavatmal, Maharashtra, allegedly abused the complainant in filthy language and threatened him with dire consequences.
Police stated that the dispute arose over the late return of a rental bike. During the altercation, the accused allegedly assaulted the complainant with a bike helmet and punched him on his left shoulder, causing grievous injury to his left hand.
The accused was placed under arrest on 20/02/2026 at 12:47 a.m. Police confirmed that all Supreme Court guidelines were duly observed during the arrest.
