Calangute: Calangute police have registered a case of cheating and extortion following a complaint by a tourist from Gujarat who was allegedly duped through an online escort service scam.
According to the complaint lodged by Yash Shah, a resident of Surat, Gujarat, the incident occurred prior to January 11 at Calangute, Bardez. The complainant stated that he and his friends Moksh Hardik and Aagam Vijaybhai, while holidaying in Goa, searched online for escort services and contacted an unknown accused (Accused No.1), who finalized a deal of ₹15,000 for three girls and forwarded photographs.
