Mapusa: Police have initiated an enquiry after a 32-year-old man was brought dead to the Primary Health Centre (PHC), Siolim, in the early hours of February 9, 2026.
According to police, a medical memo was received at around 2.56 hrs from the Medical Officer of PHC Siolim informing that Vikram Barkade (32), resident of Audumber Colony, Malkapur, Satara district, Maharashtra, was brought dead.
Preliminary enquiry revealed that the deceased, along with his friends, had gone to Anjuna for a party. After the party, he reportedly complained of breathlessness and chest pain. His friends then took him to their room at Morjim. Upon reaching the room, he became unconscious.
He was subsequently shifted to PHC Siolim, where doctors declared him brought dead. Police have initiated further enquiry to ascertain the exact cause of death.
