FATORDA: A rash and negligent driving case has been registered after a motorcycle allegedly dashed against an oncoming scooter at Davondem, Fatorda, leaving one person grievously injured.
According to Fatorda Police, the complaint was filed by HC Cyril D’Costa. The incident occurred on April 1, 2026, at around 12.45 am when Sujit More, a resident of Fatorda originally from Solapur, Maharashtra, was riding a Discover motorcycle from Verna towards Margao.
Police said the rider allegedly drove in a rash and negligent manner without proper care and caution, endangering human life. Upon reaching Davondem, Fatorda, the motorcycle reportedly collided with an oncoming Aviator scooter ridden by Ayush Chand, a native of Patparganj, Delhi, who was presently residing at Dabolim.
Following the impact, the scooter rider and pillion rider Garvita Mishra, a native of Jaipur, Rajasthan, also residing at Dabolim, fell onto the road. Ayush Chand sustained simple injuries, while Garvita Mishra suffered grievous injuries in the accident.
Fatorda Police have registered a case and further investigation is being carried out by HC Cyril D’Costa.
