CANACONA: Canacona police have registered a case of theft following a complaint lodged by Nidhi Lahoti, a resident of Canacona originally from Gurgaon, Haryana.
As per the complaint, the incident occurred on February 28 prior to 7.39 am at Palolem Casa, Ourem, Palolem in Canacona. Unknown persons allegedly gained entry into the complainant’s room and decamped with several valuables.
The stolen items include a Mokobara tan-colour bag, a Mirragio fanny pack, an HP laptop along with its charger, Sennheiser earphones, Swarovski jewellery, cash amounting to Rs 3,500, as well as an Aadhaar card and driving licence.
Police said the total loss has been estimated at Rs 2,37,299.
An offence has been registered, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Babu Dessai of Canacona Police Station.
