Porvorim: In a sudden turn of events, a section of the NH 66 highway near the Nexa Showroom in Porvorim, Goa, has given way during the ongoing construction of an elevated corridor.
This unexpected collapse has prompted immediate action from local authorities to ensure public safety. As repair work commences, the Goa Traffic Police has swiftly implemented a traffic diversion plan to prevent any potential incidents.
The diversion, effective immediately, reroutes vehicles travelling from Panaji to Porvorim via Mapusa.
Motorists are now directed to take the CHOGM road and then proceed along the newly constructed road opposite Wellness Pharmacy, ultimately reaching the Porvorim Bazaar slope on NH 66.
This strategic rerouting ensures that traffic flow on other roads remains unaffected.
To maintain order and guide motorists, traffic police have been deployed at major intersections.
