Panaji: The Public Works Department (PWD), Goa, has announced a temporary traffic diversion on National Highway 66 (NH-66) to facilitate the ongoing construction of a temporary and permanent toll plaza near Km. 476.500, between Patradevi and Zuari bridge.
According to a notification issued by the Executive Engineer, Works Division-VII (NH), PWD, Panaji, traffic will be diverted to temporarily extended lanes for a short stretch of 400 meters from August 20, 2025, to September 10, 2025. The measure aims to ensure smooth progress of the project and minimise hindrances.
Prominent signboards indicating the diversion route will be installed by the contracting agency at key locations. The department has also emphasised that all road safety measures will be strictly followed as per guidelines laid down by the Indian Roads Congress (IRC) and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH).
The construction is being undertaken under the Annual Plan 2024-25 in EPC mode and is part of infrastructure development works on NH-66.
