MAPUSA: In a heart-wrenching incident today at 3:30 pm, a 6-year-old boy lost his life in a fatal accident while work was underway on a hot mixing driver. The incident has left the local community in shock and mourning.
The accident occurred at the construction site located in Sodiem Xell, Siolim Bardez, where road maintenance work was being carried out.
The young victim, whose identity has been withheld, was the son of a labourer who worked for underground cabling.
Sources said the boy was sleeping on the roadside when the lorry accidentally hit him. Further investigations are on.
