Goa Mining People’s Front on Wednesday demanded a permanant solution to the mining issue in the State.
Addressing a press conference here, Puti Gaonkar said that they welcome the Supreme Court decision to allow transportation upto January 31.
“However this cannot be a permanant solution. Transportation is for a short time it cannot be a solution to crisis,” he said.
He said the government mist show some spine and restart mining at the earliest.
“The CM Dr Pramod Sawant has to prove himself by restarting mining operations in the State. If it can’t start mining than govt should take over our trucks, machinary, Barges and settle the issue at once,” he said.
He said that if government can do thst the dependents will not make any more demands
“E auction or royalty paid ore tranportation meaure is for short period is not solution,” he said.
