PANAJI: Appeal made for inclusion in upcoming Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum at Farmagudi
PANAJI: The Tribal Research Institute, Goa, has appealed to the public to submit names of Scheduled Tribe individuals who contributed to Goa’s freedom movement but remain undocumented or unrecognized.
The initiative aims to ensure that no tribal freedom fighter is left out of the upcoming Tribal Freedom Fighters Museum at Farmagudi, Ponda.
Citizens have been urged to share details of such freedom fighters for verification with the authorities. Submissions can be made on or before October 20, 2025 at the office of the Goa State Scheduled Tribes Finance and Development Corporation Limited, 2nd Floor, Dayanand Smriti Building, Swami Vivekanand Road, Panaji.
The effort seeks to honor and preserve the legacy of tribal communities who played a role in Goa’s struggle for liberation.
