MAPUSA: A complaint has been filed at Mapusa Police Station after a man was allegedly assaulted and his vehicle damaged by the driver of a truck and an unidentified accomplice at Khadpawada, Cuchelim. The complainant, Vishram Sitaram Talgaonkar, 42, a resident of Acoi, Karaswada, reported that the incident occurred on November 25 at around 11:45 pm.
According to the complaint, the driver of a truck bearing registration number GA-03-R-8238, along with another unknown person, allegedly assaulted Talgaonkar with slaps, fist blows and kicks, causing him injuries. The accused individuals also reportedly threatened him with dire consequences, including threats to kill. In addition, the accused allegedly damaged the complainant’s Hyundai Creta vehicle (GA-03-Y-1922), resulting in financial loss.
Mapusa Police have registered an offence and initiated an investigation under PSI Pandhari Chopdekar.
