Stating that truth and BJP cannot go hand in hand, Leader of Opposition, Digambar Kamat on Tuesday said that Malik always stood by truth.
“Governor of Goa Satya Pal Malikji stood by truth, emotions and sentiments of every Goan on core issues like Mhadei, Economic Revival & Austerity measures, handling & management of Covid Pandemic,” said Digambar kamat said reacting to his transfer to Meghalaya.
He said “Truth and BJP can’t go together.”
The former chief minister said that it is really sad that an upright and honest person like Satya Pal Malik is transferred at such a time when Goa needed him the most.
“He took decisions in the interest of the State and all his actions were with a sole intention of protecting the Common Man and Environment and nature of Goa. He was always concerned about bad finances of the State and consistently advised the Government to adopt austerity measures and stop wasteful expenditure,” he said.
Kamat said that Goa will always hold him with highest esteem.
“He made a place in the heart of every Goan. I am sure every Goan must be feeling hurt on his transfer from Goa to Meghalaya. I wish him good health, happiness and long life,” Kamat wrote.
