PANAJI: The Baale BPS Open 2026 concluded on a high note at the B.P.S. Sports Club in Margao, with standout performances from rising talents Tvisha Sardesai and Aryan Kotasthane in the marquee events of the tournament.
Tvisha delivered a remarkable all round display, capturing the Ladies Singles crown to complete an impressive treble. Having already lifted the Under 14 and Under 18 titles earlier in the competition, she sealed her third trophy with a composed 6 1, 6 4 victory over Raisa in the final. Her ability to dominate across multiple age categories emerged as one of the defining achievements of this year’s state ranking tournament.
Aryan matched that feat in the men’s section with a commanding double title success. In the Men’s Singles final, he outclassed A Harren Narayan 6 3, 6 0 with an authoritative performance. He then teamed up with Rushi Anikari in the Men’s Doubles final, where the pair overcame Shaurya Awasthi and Anamay Mittal 6 0, 7 5 to claim the second title of the evening.
The tournament marked the third edition of the All Goa Ranking Tennis Tournament and witnessed strong participation across junior, open and veterans categories. Over 11 days of competition, players competed fiercely on the courts of the B.P.S. Sports Club, highlighting the growing depth of tennis talent in the state.
The closing ceremony and prize distribution were held on Sunday evening in the presence of Digambar Kamat, who attended as chief guest. Senior club members Artemio Moraes and Shashank Shirwaikar were also honoured for their longstanding contribution and support to the sport.
Organised under the aegis of the Goa State Tennis Association and supported by Baale Resort Goa, the tournament attracted 197 entries, reinforcing its status as a key fixture on the state tennis calendar.
