CURCHOREM: Acting on a complaint filed by Cilvan D’costa, resident of Kakoda, Curchorem, police registered a case of mischief and arson after unknown accused persons set fire to his garage and a Maruti Suzuki Ciaz car parked inside.
The incident occurred between 23:30 hrs on 22nd September 2025 and 07:00 hrs on 23rd September 2025 near Polytechnic College, Vodlemol, Kakoda.
The fire also damaged the garage’s wiring cables, causing an estimated loss of ₹1,60,000/-.
During investigation, police identified and arrested two accused persons — Soham Naik, resident of Kakoda, Curchorem, and Ramesh Naik, resident of Xeldem, Quepem — on 23rd September 2025.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prajyot Bakhale of Curchorem Police Station.
