CALANGUTE: Calangute Police arrested two men from Andhra Pradesh on Thursday evening for illegal possession of Ecstasy powder following a narcotic raid near the HP Gas godown at Naikawado, Calangute. Acting on a complaint filed by Police Sub Inspector Snehal Malik, police conducted the raid between 4.45 pm and 5.30 pm, seizing a total of 3.10 grams of Ecstasy valued at approximately ₹31,000. The accused were identified as Sivva Rohan, 26, of Vishwakarma Street, Girmajipet, Warangal, and Vishwanath Karthik, 26, of Mattewada, Warangal. Both were formally arrested at 10.19 pm and lodged in the Calangute Police Station lock-up. Police stated that all Supreme Court guidelines for arrests were followed. Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Prajit Mandrekar.
