MARGAO: Police has arrested two persons for allegedly possessing and attempting to sell hydroponic weed in Margao.
According to a state complaint lodged by PSI Shubham Gaonkar of Margao Town Police Station, the accused, Arbaz Shaikh, a resident of Tolleband, Davorlim, was caught red-handed at around 8:35 pm on October 8, 2025, in illegal possession of hydroponic weed (ganja) weighing 27.78 grams, valued at ₹2,77,800.
He was accompanied by Zahid Hoskop, a resident of Rumdamol, Navelim. Police stated that the duo had come to Ring Road, Aquem-Tolleband, Margao, to deliver the contraband to prospective customers.
Both accused have been placed under arrest, and further investigation is being carried out by PSI Nilesh Shirvoikar of Margao Town Police Station.
