MAPUSA: In a major breakthrough, Mapusa Police have arrested two Bangladeshi nationals allegedly linked to the gang involved in a recent dacoity case.
During the investigation of Mapusa Police Station Crime No. 133/2025, registered under Sections 331(3), 115(2), 351(3), 126(2), 310(2), 61(2), and 111 read with 3(5) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, 2023, police developed credible leads through human and technical intelligence.
It was revealed that Raju B (27), resident of Bellandur, Ibbaluru, Bengaluru, and Safikul (37), resident of Sarjapur Road, Ibbalur, Bengaluru South, both natives of Bangladesh, were in contact with the six main accused who carried out the dacoity.
Police said evidence collected during the probe established that the duo had conspired with the main accused in executing the crime.
Both suspects were placed under arrest on Tuesday evening. Further investigation is in progress.
