MARGAO: Police have registered a case against two men for allegedly assaulting a resident of Davorlim and attempting to snatch his gold chain at Gogol, Margao.
According to police, on September 21 around 4.30 pm, the accused — Vijay alias Viju Naik of Gogol and Harish Karyamani of Gogol Housing Board — allegedly abused complainant Ritesh Jamuni, grabbed the gold chain from his neck, and damaged it during a scuffle. The duo also attacked him with a pointed metallic object, causing injuries.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Satvashil Devidas of Fatorda Police Station.
