Batim: Agacaim Police have registered a case against two men for allegedly assaulting a 61-year-old resident of Batim and causing him grievous injuries.
The incident occurred around 1.30 pm on Thursday at Batim Junction. According to the complaint filed by Salvador Fernandes of Bortal Bhat, Batim, the accused — Benny Fernandes of Gaonkar Wado, Batim, and Enas Vales of Vodle Bhat, Batim — first abused him in filthy language.
Police said Enas Vales allegedly caught hold of the complainant from behind, allowing Benny Fernandes to punch him in the face, causing injuries to his face and nose.
The case is being investigated by PSI Shubham Korgaonkar of Agacaim Police Station.
