Colvale: Colvale police have registered an offence of attempt to murder following an assault on a man at a rented room in Tarwada, Colvale, Bardez.
According to police, the complaint was lodged by Amit Kumar, son of Shrikishun Kumar, a native of Kharavaniya, Ballia Hardattpur, Uttar Pradesh, presently residing at a rented room c/o Avdutt at Tarwada, Colvale. The complaint was registered on January 22, 2026, at around 12.57 am.
The complainant stated that on January 19, 2026, at about 1.30 pm, accused Sanjay Sahani and Om Prakash Sahani, son of Ramashankar Sahani, residents of Bharsouta, New Basti, Haldi, Ballia, Uttar Pradesh, and presently residing at Colvale, Bardez, assaulted him at the rented room.
Police said accused no.1, Sanjay Sahani, who is the roommate of the complainant, allegedly abused him with filthy words after the complainant returned early from work. Thereafter, both the accused, acting with common intention, allegedly assaulted the complainant with fist blows and kicks to his stomach, causing him serious injuries.
Police have stated that the accused allegedly attempted to commit murder of the complainant. PSI Prakash Ghadi is the investigating officer in the case. Further investigation is in progress.
