PONDA: Police have registered a case against two men for allegedly carrying out illegal hill cutting in Durbhat village prior to May 15 this year.
According to Ponda Police, the accused have been identified as Rameshwar Shet and Jainath Phadte, both residents of Durbhat. The case was registered following a complaint by Premanand Akarkar, Planning Draftsman with the Town and Country Planning Department, who reported the unauthorized hill cutting activity.
PSI Ashish Velip of Ponda Police Station is conducting further investigation into the matter.
