Mollem: Collem Police have registered a case based on a complaint filed by PC 7623 Suraj Nirlekar of Collem Police Station, alleging obstruction and threat to police personnel during night patrolling duty.
As per the complaint, the incident occurred on January 29, 2026, at around 12.10 am at Mollem. The accused have been identified as Hemant Gaonkar, a resident of Mollem, Dharbandora, and Parvin Jangale, a resident of Vakekulan, Shigao.
It is alleged that the accused persons blocked the internal road behind the RTO Office at Mollem, which leads towards the village, by parking their white Brezza car in the middle of the road. Acting in furtherance of their common intention, they allegedly wrongfully restrained the police Robot vehicle while it was performing routine night patrolling duties, thereby preventing it from proceeding ahead.
The complaint further states that the accused obstructed police staff while they were discharging their lawful duties as public servants. It is also alleged that accused no. 1, Hemant Gaonkar, abused and threatened the police personnel during the incident.
Further investigation in the matter is being carried out by PSI Sandeep Nimbalkar of Collem Police Station.
