CALANGUTE: An offence has been registered at Calangute Police Station in connection with the sexual harassment of a foreign female tourist at Calangute Beach.
According to police, the case was registered on February 4, 2026, at around 11.04 pm, based on a written complaint filed by Shri Ladu Narayan Gad, IRB PC 313206, attached to the Tourist Police Unit, Calangute.
The complaint stated that prior to February 4, 2026, at a spot in front of Ocean Shack at Calangute Beach, the accused persons — Akash Minaz, son of Ubhnad Minaz, aged 19 years, a resident of Calangute, Bardez, and Dhayan Tappo, son of Buti Tappo, aged 34 years, a resident of Calangute, Bardez, originally from Odisha and visiting as an Indian tourist — allegedly forcefully clicked photographs with a foreign female tourist.
The accused also allegedly touched the woman inappropriately at a public place, thereby sexually harassing the foreign tourist.
Based on the complaint, Calangute Police registered an offence and initiated an investigation. The case is being investigated by PSI Paresh P. Sinari. Further investigation is in progress.
