CORLIM: Two persons have been booked for allegedly stealing cash, a mobile phone and grocery items from a supermarket in Corlim, Tiswadi.
According to police, the complaint was filed by Paul Fernandes (64), a retired resident of Brook Fields Apartment, Goltim-Navelim, Divar. The incident occurred prior to 6 pm on April 8 at Geen Supermarket, Keni Colony, Corlim.
The accused have been identified as Kajol Kumari Aruka, a resident of Corlim and an employee of the complainant’s brother-in-law, and Om Sai Roul, also a resident of Corlim. Both are natives of Ganjam district, Odisha.
Police said the accused, acting with common intention, allegedly stole ₹5,000 in cash from the counter, a grey Redmi mobile phone worth ₹19,000, and grocery items including deodorants, room fresheners and face wash worth ₹2,000. The total value of the stolen property is estimated at ₹26,000.
