MARCAIM: Mardol police have booked two persons along with six unidentified individuals for allegedly assaulting a man and threatening him over previous enmity at Parampai, Marcaim.
According to police, the case was registered based on a complaint filed by Darshan Naik, a resident of Kundai, Ponda. The complainant stated that on March 29 at around 8.30 pm, the accused formed an unlawful assembly at Parampai, Marcaim.
Police said accused Sanket Naik and Saidatt Naik, both residents of Warkhandem, Ponda, along with six unknown persons, allegedly acted with common object. Accused Sanket Naik reportedly assaulted the complainant with fist blows on his face and kicked him in the stomach, causing simple injuries.
Further, the accused persons allegedly threatened the complainant and his friends, who were present at the time of the incident, with dire consequences over previous enmity.
Further investigation is being carried out by PSI Rochan Martins of Mardol Police Station.
