CALANGUTE: Two cottages at Tivai Vaddo in Calangute were completely destroyed after a fire broke out in the area, triggering alarm among residents and tourists.
Fire personnel from Pilerne Fire Station rushed to the spot and swiftly brought the flames under control. Their prompt action prevented the blaze from spreading to adjacent structures, successfully saving six neighbouring cottages.
Two guests from Mysore who were staying in the affected cottages managed to come out safely after being alerted about the fire. Officials confirmed that no injuries or casualties were reported in the incident.
The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained.
