PANAJI: Two senior officers of the Goa Police — DySP Vishwesh Karpe and PI Laxi Amonkar — have been conferred with the Kendriya Grih Mantri Dakshata Padak, a national award that honours exceptional professionalism and efficiency in policing.
DySP Karpe received the award in the Investigation category for his exemplary leadership in cracking a sensational murder case involving a minor boy under the Calangute Police jurisdiction. His close supervision and prompt action ensured that the case was solved swiftly and effectively.
PI Laxi Amonkar was recognised in the Intelligence category for providing critical inputs that led to a major NDPS operation, resulting in the seizure of drugs worth ₹43 crore. The operation marked a significant breakthrough in the State’s efforts to curb the drug menace.
