Bicholim: Police have arrested two persons in connection with a theft reported at Krishna Petrol Pump in Sarvan, Bicholim.
The incident came to light after the pump owner, Sunil Parvatkar (51), a businessman and resident of Karapur, Tisk, Sankhali, lodged a complaint on December 28, 2025, at around 4.10 pm.
According to the complaint, the theft occurred in the early hours of December 28, prior to 5.50 am, when the accused allegedly broke open the lock of the main door of the petrol pump office located at Survey No. D-48, Sarvan, and gained entry.
The miscreants are said to have cut the CCTV cable and stolen a DVR along with cash amounting to ₹9,000 kept in the office altar (Devara).
Following an investigation, Bicholim Police arrested Mahesh Shetty, son of Shiva Shetty, a resident of Karai, Shiroda, Ponda, and Bhuvan Pillai, son of Tilakraj Pillai, a resident of Flat No. 06, Diamond Apartment, Bilwan Peddem, Mapusa.
Further investigation is underway, and the case is being handled by LPSI Sonali Harmalakar of Bicholim Police Station.
