MAINA CURTORIM: In a breakthrough against vehicle thefts, the Maina Curtorim Police have arrested two accused and recovered five stolen two-wheelers, including three Royal Enfield Bullets.
The arrested persons have been identified as Prince alias Savio Fernandes (35), resident of Partoloi, Maina Curtorim, and Myron Fernandes (18), son of Joao Fernandes, resident of Datolin, Maina Curtorim, Salcete.
Acting under the supervision of PI Arun A. Gauns Dessai, police registered Crime No. 88/2025 under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023, and initiated investigations leading to the recovery.
At the instance of the accused, police recovered three Royal Enfield Bullet motorcycles, one Yamaha RX, and one TVS Scooty.
Further investigation is underway to trace the ownership of the recovered vehicles and determine if the accused are involved in other similar offences in the Salcete area.
