CALANGUTE: Calangute witnessed a bizarre incident when two identical Maruti Baleno rental cars, both sporting the same registration number, were found operating in the area. The unusual sight left locals puzzled and raised suspicions of vehicle cloning and registration malpractice.
Alert taxi operators, noticing the duplicate number plates, promptly informed the Calangute Police. Officers reached the scene swiftly and impounded both vehicles for verification.
According to police sources, a detailed investigation has been launched to trace the ownership and confirm the authenticity of the registration documents of the two cars. Authorities are now trying to uncover how both vehicles ended up on the road with identical registration details.
