CANACONA: Two persons sustained injuries after their motorcycle hit a stray dog near Tubki General Store at Patnem on October 4, 2025, around 1:30 pm.
According to the state complaint lodged by LHC Riya Khandekar of Canacona Police Station, the accused rider Sayaji Jadhav, resident of Canacona and native of Maharashtra, was riding a Hero Splendor motorcycle with Hemant Kakade as the pillion rider.
While proceeding from Colomb towards Patnem, the rider allegedly drove the motorcycle rashly and negligently, endangering human life. On reaching near Tubki General Store, the motorcycle collided with a street dog, causing both the rider and pillion to fall on the road and sustain injuries.
Canacona Police have registered Crime No. 57/2025 under Sections 281 and 125(a) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), 2023. The investigation is being conducted by LHC Riya Khandekar.
