BORIM: Two persons were injured after a Royal Enfield motorcycle allegedly being ridden in a rash and negligent manner crashed into two cars near Borim Bridge on the Loutolim side.
According to police, the case was registered based on the complaint of ASI Anant Gaonkar of Maina Curtorim Police Station. The incident occurred on April 5 at around 11:30 am when the accused, Aditya Gaonkar of Shiroda, Ponda, was riding a Royal Enfield Bullet from Verna towards Ponda.
Police said that while attempting to overtake a Hyundai Venue car near Borim Bridge, the rider allegedly dashed the rear right side of the vehicle, which was moving in the same direction. The motorcycle then skidded and collided with an oncoming Maruti Ciaz car.
As a result of the accident, the rider Aditya Gaonkar and pillion rider Harsh Naik, also a resident of Shiroda, Ponda, sustained injuries.
Further investigation is in progress with ASI Anant Gaonkar of Maina Curtorim Police Station.
