CANACONA: Two persons were injured after a Maruti Suzuki Ertiga allegedly rammed into their scooter near Shelli, Loliem, on Monday evening.
The complaint, filed by Ravindra Pednekar of Uttara Kannada, Karnataka, states that around 6:30 pm, the Ertiga driver, identified as Sachin Majgaonkar of Ballimoth Tiloi, Quepem, was driving from Canacona towards Polem when he allegedly drove in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life.
On reaching near Shelli, the Ertiga reportedly hit Pednekar’s Dio scooter from behind, causing both the rider Ravindra Pednekar and pillion Vithal Hosalkar to fall onto the road. Both sustained injuries in the accident.
Further investigation is underway with HC Paresh Velip (6853) of Canacona Police Station.
