QUEPEM: Two persons sustained injuries after a goods carrier rickshaw allegedly caused an accident at Guddi Paroda in Quepem on December 24, 2025, Quepem Police said.
According to the complaint filed by ASI Nagesh Gaonkar of Quepem Police Station, the incident occurred prior to 10.16 pm near opposite Balaji Finance at Guddi Paroda. The accused, identified as Murshad Ali, a resident of Dicarpali, Margao, was driving a goods carrier rickshaw and had halted the vehicle at the roadside.
Police stated that the accused allegedly turned the rickshaw onto the main road suddenly, without giving any signal or exercising due care. As a result, the rickshaw collided with a Royal Enfield motorcycle that was being ridden by Myron Cardoso, with Bianca Cardoso as the pillion rider. The motorcycle was proceeding from Margao towards Quepem in a lawful and normal manner at the time of the accident.
Both the rider and the pillion rider sustained injuries in the collision. Further investigation in the case is being carried out by ASI Nagesh Gaonkar of Quepem Police Station.
