COLVA: Swift action by Colva Police, in coordination with the Railway Protection Force (RPF), helped trace two missing minor boys from Varca, Salcete, who had boarded a train towards Delhi.
According to police, a 14-year-old boy from Bihar and a 13-year-old boy from Odisha, both residing in Varca and studying in Class 9 at the same school, went missing on Friday afternoon. The boys had told their families they were heading for tuition classes, but did not return home.
Initial enquiry revealed that one of the boys had been scolded by his father for missing school, following which the two friends decided to leave home without informing their families.
Based on technical surveillance and with RPF assistance, the boys were intercepted at Bhusawal Railway Station in Maharashtra. They are currently in safe custody with the RPF.
Colva Police have deputed a team to Maharashtra to bring the minors back to Goa. The operation was supervised by Police Inspector of Colva Police Station.
