VALPOI: Two more people have been taken into custody by Valpoi police in relation to an unlawful beef transportation case. According to Bicholim SDPO Jivba Dalvi, Asif Choudhari of Mapusa and Javeed Nazir Ahmed Tamboli, a resident of Kharewaddo who is a native of Belagavi, Karnataka, were arrested in connection with the crime after their involvement was proven, as part of an ongoing investigation into the crime reported at Valpoi Police Station. The two defendants are the owners of cars that were reportedly confiscated for unlawfully transporting meat at Chorla Ghat early on Sunday morning. PSI Prathemesh Gawas is looking into this further.
