MARGAO: Police probing the gang clash at Mungul on the Margao–Colva stretch have arrested two more suspects, raising the total number of arrests in the case to 23.
One of the accused, identified as Omsa, was tracked down in Rajasthan, while another was apprehended at Borim in Goa. Investigators have also seized a Toyota vehicle allegedly used during the violent attack.
Omsa is said to be a close aide of a prime accused from Ponda who continues to remain on the run. Police plan to interrogate him further to establish his role in the incident and examine possible links with crime networks outside the state, particularly in Rajasthan.
Despite the fresh arrests, several key suspects from Quepem, Ponda and other areas have not yet been traced, keeping the manhunt for the principal accused ongoing.
