DRAMAPUR: A case of rash and negligent driving has been registered after two women pedestrians were injured in an accident at Dramapur on Monday evening.
According to a state complaint filed by ASI Rosario Dias of Margao Town Police Station, the incident occurred on 1 December 2025 at around 20:00 hrs when Dabi Akiva D’Silva, a resident of Dadaevado, Chinchinim, was riding an Activa scooter from Chinchinim Junction towards Dramapur Junction.
Police stated that upon reaching Bondorim, Dramapur, the rider allegedly drove the scooter in a rash and negligent manner, endangering human life, and hit two women who were walking along the left side of the road. The victims were identified as Pascoela Fernandes and Carmina Fernandes, both residents of Pedda Wada, Ambelim, Assolna.
As per police, Pascoela sustained grievous injuries, while Carmina suffered simple injuries.
Further investigation is being carried out by ASI Rosario Dias of Margao Town Police Station.
