COLVALE: After the massive hunt for the two undertrials was carried, the Goa Police traced the two accused were traced back to the jail premises itself.
According to the police, officials were suspecting that they were hiding within the jail premises informed sources.
Two under trial prisoners – one rape accused and other murder accused had escaped from the state central jail at Colvale yesterday.
The accused were identified as Bhupendra and Hussain.
The jail inmates are allowed to go around in the open space within the prison premises every evening.
The duo was found missing during the head count done by the jail officials while the inmates were being set back to their cells.
