Goa: In two separate cases reported on July 28, police have registered Unnatural Deaths (UD) following the discovery of two deceased males—one at a residential room in Caranzalem and another brought to the District Hospital in Mapusa.
In the first case, Panaji Police registered UD No. 66/2025 under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita after receiving a call from the Panaji Police Control Room. A team visited Module Marine Height, Caranzalem, where 24-year-old Anguma Boro, a native of Baksa, Assam, was found dead in his room. The 108 ambulance had already reached the spot by the time police arrived. Further enquiry is underway to determine the cause and circumstances of death.
In the second case, Mapusa Police received information from the casualty department of the District Hospital about an unidentified male body brought in on the same day at 12:57 pm. The deceased was later identified as Kusters Lother Josef, a 69-year-old man of Dutch nationality, residing at Walkeshwar Wado, Thivim, Bardez.
Both cases are under active investigation as authorities await further reports, including postmortem findings, to establish the cause of death.
