PANAJI: Two young men from Kerala lost their lives in a tragic road accident on National Highway 66 on the stretch leading from Panaji towards Margao on Thursday night.
A Himalayan motorcycle bearing registration number KL-59-AA-7413 was found lying on the roadside, and two male persons were seen sprawled on the road with multiple injuries. Shortly after, a 108 ambulance arrived at the scene and shifted both injured individuals to Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim, in separate ambulances.
However, doctors at GMC declared both victims — identified as Harigovind P. (21) and Vishnu Jai Prakash (25), both residents of Kerala — brought dead.
Police are investigating the circumstances that led to the accident.
