MARGAO: 96 applications were rejected during a special campaign by the district administration of South Goa to regularize unapproved structures in the state.
About 183 applicants or their representatives attended the taluka-level camps, where the officials processed about 96 applications, according to South Goa Additional Collector Srinet Kothawale.
Sanguem taluka has received the most applications—roughly 45—followed by Ponda with 42, Mormugao with 31, Quepem with 25, and Salcete with 27.
According to him, there are approximately 1,150 applications still pending following the push.
It is estimated that 34 applications were approved during the special campaign, while 26 regularization orders were issued.
It is estimated that 62 applications were rejected during the drive.
