MAPUSA: The local authorities have issued final notices to multiple individuals for conducting trade and business activities in unauthorized kiosks and structures. The Mapusa Municipal Council (MMC) had earlier warned the kiosk operators and has now escalated action against violators.
According to official notices, individuals including Ramzan Ali Shaikh, Tabasum Bepari, Siddesh Suresh Ambre, Farid Khan, Santosh Gaude, Ratish Chinalkar, Manisha Mohan Arabekar, Victar James Martin, Marcus Martin, Hasan Ali, and Swapnil Arabekar have been directed to cease their illegal business activities immediately. The notices, dated August 26, 2024, and September 20, 2024, indicate that legal action will follow if the unauthorized structures are not removed.
Authorities have warned that failure to comply may result in demolitions and penalties as per municipal laws. The MMC has urged business owners to adhere to regulations and seek proper permissions to operate legally.
