MARGAO: An unidentified male, aged around 65 years, was found lying unresponsive outside Apollo Victor Hospital in Margao and was later declared dead upon arrival at the South Goa District Hospital (SGDH), police said.
According to information received from the Casualty Police at SGDH, the man was brought in by passersby after being found motionless near the hospital premises. Preliminary enquiry suggests the deceased was a beggar who had been living on the roadside in the vicinity for the past few days.
The body has been preserved at SGDH for medico-legal formalities. Margao Town Police have registered a case of unnatural death, and further enquiry is being conducted by PSI Subhash Gaonkar.
