Pernem: An unidentified foreign national, aged around 40 years, who was found lying unconscious in Morjim, died while undergoing treatment at Goa Medical College and Hospital.
According to police, a wireless message was received on March 12 from GMC Bambolim stating that the man, who had been admitted to Ward No. 100 as a “found lying” case, expired during treatment.
Enquiries revealed that at around 4 am on the same day, a local resident passing by noticed the man lying outside Family Tree Restaurant and alerted the 108 ambulance service.
The man was initially shifted to Community Health Centre Tuem for treatment and was later referred to GMC Bambolim, where he succumbed while undergoing treatment.
Police said no foul play is suspected in the case so far, and further investigation is in progress.
