PANAJI: In a shocking incident, four people including the owner of the scrapyard at Bamanbhat, Merces had been admitted to GMC after they started feeling uneasy due to leakage of unidentified gas from cylinders at the scrapyard.
Locals informed that the area was filled with the gas smell today morning due to which several people in the area had difficulty breathing.
The owner of the scrapyard who came to check and put off the gas cylinders also fell sick with the smell.
Several people in the locality were taken to GMC in 108 ambulances.
Meanwhile, samples have been sent for testing.
